Online Photo Editor: Photovisi

It's too cute to resist. Tonight, the kids have been getting into photography and videography, With that, the easiest model is the mom. :) So, for a profile pic, I had a preference over a pic and they both voted for another. Quick fix: make a collage.

I didn't like the thought of downloading Picasa for quick edits and I'm getting impatient with using my ever-fave Picnik. Lo and behold, Photovisi came into the picture. No pun intended.

Fun, fun, fun with lotsa choices for layouts. I found another goldmine! Everybody was happy with the end result.

Is it ever crappy to cut/copy/paste text on notepad or Word from a website? And what about just printing off from your browser? Talk about waste of ink or paper. Unless it's a printer-friendly page or you've mastered the art singled-handledly, Printwhatyoulike helps to ease that printing chore. Plus, there's no download done! Check out the site's how-to through their video:



Bottomline: It requires routine to get used to this printing aid. Remember it works for sites that are not encrypted. Secured links or forms usually do not work on its link generator. Think of this site's portability when the lazy gets tough ;)

Summer has been keeping me away from work most of the time, and so this comeback is like a welcome drink. Back to business, I was a bit amazed of how Internet security has become so publicly available. It does bring the good and the bad, but with proper use, the next site I am sharing today is very efficient.

Aruljohn's site talks about network tracking and other cool (and geeky) stuff. The best feature would probably be IP tracking which is so ingenius especially when you're using different PCs. Check the site for other wonderful internet/technology-related tools that you might find useful.

Tips and Tricks: Pipl

The Web is pretty awesome, yet very scary. If you're looking for long-lost friends, Pipl can be the best tool out there. However, if someone is stalking you, then better hide this site from his/her eyes! Pipl scavenges the web with any of the typed in information: name, email, username, phone. It's very interesting, at the same time, intimidating.

Use with caution. But with this site, it's very efficient in people-searching. I still award it with *****. :)

Tips and Tricks: NameChk

Almost everybody wants to maintain a single username for all the commonly used web accounts. Unfortunately, you cannot "own" a name unless you got it first in the database. Anyway, NameChk keeps your guesswork at bay. It literally checks your username availability among the commonly subscribed websites. With this tool, you can set up an account without trouble and competition as to who gets your username first.

Sure, I get information overload too. But I like it that way than have a blank brain. Anyways, I head on to Lifehacker to get more than the caffeine high. It's a portal for many (read: absolutely numerous!) tips and tricks. It goes from being technical to being a DIY's haven. Enough said, I digg the links on most of its posts.

It is displayed blog-style and you always get the freshest advice out there. Don't forget the comments too. Some of them are worth more than the actual posts. Thanks to an interactive web. Lifehacker is going to outlive your monitors!
